- For grandparents
For grandparents who have everything except this year's photos.
The photos exist. They're on six different phones. Paper Chain gets them off the phones and into one large-print book, posted to your grandparents' door.
One link does the collecting
The usual way goes like this: someone offers to make a photo book, asks everyone for photos, gets eleven from one person and none from the rest, and gives up in March.
Here you start the book and send one link. Each person adds their own photos and their own words from their own phone. You watch it fill up.
Why grandparents like it
- It arrives in the post, addressed to them.
- Every photo is big, with a caption they can read without hunting for their glasses.
- Each family gets its own pages, with a note at the start.
- It's a thing to show people, which a phone never is.
Once, or every year
Some families make one for a big birthday. Others make one every Christmas, so there's a shelf of them: the family, year by year. Each year's book is started fresh and takes a minute to set up.
Questions
Good to know.
Do my grandparents need to do anything?
No. They don't sign up for anything or use a screen. The book just arrives.
Can cousins overseas add photos?
Yes. The link works anywhere. The book is printed in or near the country it's being delivered to.
What if two of us add the same photo?
You see every photo before it prints and can leave out duplicates with one tap.
