  3. Golden anniversary

Fifty years married. The family they made, in a book.

Open with the wedding photo. Close with everyone who exists because of it. In between, a page or two from each of you.

Start a bookHow it works

A shape that works

  • The wedding day, and the earliest photos anyone can find.
  • Each child's family, with a note from that household.
  • The grandchildren, one each.
  • A recent photo of the two of them on the cover.

Getting the old photos

Wedding photos from the seventies are prints in an album or a frame. Take a phone photo of each one in daylight, straight on, without flash. Prints that size reproduce well at a full page.

Works for any anniversary

Ruby, golden, diamond. The book is the same idea at forty, fifty or sixty years. Only the number of grandchildren changes.

Questions

Good to know.

Can friends add to it too?

Yes. Send the link to the bridesmaids and the best man, if you can find them.

Which cover suits an anniversary?

Gazette sets the title like a newspaper masthead, which suits a date. Midnight and Linen are the more formal ones. You can try each on your own photo before ordering.

Can it arrive before the party?

Allow about a week for printing and delivery where we print locally, and a week before that for the family to add photos.
